This review is long in coming, and it's been more my laziness versus and issues with Jamie and his great company. We worked with Jamie on two different houses and could not have been happier with our experience across the board.
The first was our first house purchase ever, so we were certainly apprehensive approaching the situation. Jamie had worked with a family member numerous times and came highly recommended, and he certainly lived up to that reputation. I really appreciated Jamie's cautious hand in our dealings; he was never over bearing when it came to offering advice about a potential house or price, but he was always there when we had questions. We likely saw 30 houses, and each one was approached in a calm and methodical way by Jamie or one of his team members (all of whom were excellent as well).
The second experience with Jamie was in 2021 when the housing market was basically going nuclear. Not only did we need to get our house ready to move, but we had to trust what Jamie told us when it came to taking that potential payoff and applying it to the next home. Even though we had an idea of the area we needed, Jamie was there to offer suggestions and actually came through huge in finding our current home before it even hit the market. When we knew we wanted to make changes to the house, he provided contractors and others who gave us a pretty spot on idea what the costs would be. As with any purchase, there were a few bumps along the way, but he quickly dealt with each with barely any need of additional help on our end.
When it came to the sale of our own house, Jamie was on the spot throughout the process, from suggestions on how we do a better job of sprucing up the home to managing heightened expectations when it came to sales price. Considering we sold our house for about 3x the price, we were quite happy.- Ryan B.
I can really say, we felt that Jamie Thompson had our backs during the purchase of our home, and that is a nice feeling. We had credit issues, and Jamie was able to get us in touch with a lender that helped us out tremendously! We also needed to use a VA loan, which is sometimes difficult, but with this lender, we had no issues. Jamie was there with us on our search every step of the way. We agreed upon listing our home for a short sale and began the process of endless amounts of paperwork. It was soon apparent to us the Thompson Group was the perfect choice.
